Homework is stressful when not given in moderation. Not just for the average, but for A+ students as well. So no matter which camp you fall in, there are times when you may consider hiring someone to do your homework. 

But wait, how will you select the best expert for homework assistance?

Doing your homework yourself, no doubt, is the best option. You will learn the subject and the skills which will help you throughout your life. You will also save plenty of money you might have spent on getting your homework done by someone else. But if it is not possible,  first explore the referrals from your friends, classmates and seniors.

Avoid Reinventing The Wheel: Ask Your Friends For Referrals

Go ask your friends, classmates and seniors and check if they already know someone who is trustworthy and a real expert. Chances are high that you are not the first one looking for homework help. Your classmates might have already found a tutor who helped them with their homework before.

Please note that asking your friends over WhatsApp, Facebook, Snapchat, Email, Call are also included in this approach. The idea is to ask someone you trust. It can even be a WhatsApp or Facebook group for homework help created by your school/college students that you are a part of.

In fact, 5 years ago when I was also actively working as a tutor,  I used to get most of my Kuwaiti students from their private Whatsapp groups. As I always focussed on quality help, I was very popular in their groups and used to get close to 40 inquiries on an average per day! To get you an idea, I was mostly working alone that time and hence you can understand how much I was in demand. I could never help all the students and focussed on helping those who genuinely needed help or those who were my long term clients.

There are several pros to this approach

Pros

  • You save time searching for a reliable expert whom you can trust and is within your budget
  • You are assured of high quality help. The expert might have already solved similar homework in the past and might be well aware of the exact requirements of your homework and the expectations of your professor/teacher. All this resulting in very high grades and hence a stress free experience.
  • You know the prices upfront and there are usually no surprises
  • You as well your friend may get a discount when you say inform how you heard about the expert.
  • Chances of fraud are unlikely as the export tutor will likely not risk their reputation over some small one time gain.

There are several cons also!

In case you were thinking you have found a hole in the matrix, let us discuss some cons that will bring you closer to the reality:

  • High prices: As the lead is coming from your classmates, the expert might already be having an extensive student base and good reputation. As many students like you may be contacting them for the same assignment, the prices can be considerably high.
  • Rejection of your request: Due to the reasons above, chances are high that the expert is already overbooked and may refuse to help even if you are willing to pay a premium price.
  • Plagiarism issue: Now this is real. Even if the expert you are hiring is a genuine one, already knows the requirements of your professor and your school, you may still find yourself in trouble. Why? It is humanly impossible to provide multiple versions of the same assignment without a trace of plagiarism. 
  • Late delivery: If many of your friends have contacted the same guy for your homework, there is chance that some of your homework may be delayed. 

Pro Tips to select the best expert for homework assistance

To avoid the cons as discussed above, here are the pro tips from my 15+ years of tutoring and homework help experience

  • Book early: If you contact the expert at the last minute, chances are high they will refuse to help. They might be doing the same assignment for your classmates and like you, their deadline is also approaching. However, if you contact earlier, the expert will likely help you and accept a significantly lower fee as well.
  • Open up your wallet: Sometimes all you need is a little extra fee than your friends and the expert will be ready to give preference to your assignments. If you have moral issues regarding this, I would advise you not to do it. 
  • Have multiple options ready: Over reliance on one expert can backfire and if the homework is carries a high weight age, you can be in a severe stress. So I would advise you to have backup tutors ready. Instead of contacting only one tutor, contact 2-3 tutors. Sure, it would take more time but it will be worth the effort. 
  • Maintain a good relationship with your expert tutor: Sure, you are paying a good fee to the tutor for your homework, but if you show thankfulness for their work and give respect, you will likely get preference over other students. Everyone needs love and respect and the expert homework helper who might seem like a villain charging so much money from you, is no different. Talk politely, give them respect, treat them as human beings, ask if they are doing good etc are some of the things you can do to turn the tide in your favor.

What If The Referral From Friends Did Not Work Out For You?

Reasons why you could not get the expert tutor referred by your friend for your homework?

  • If the expert suggested by your friend is very busy and none of my pro tips helped you get your homework done by that expert
  • If your friends said no to sharing expert’s details or if they genuinely don’t know anyone
  • You contacted the expert tutor too late
  • You could not pay the high prices for your homework

If it happens, you are on your own and searching online for an expert homework solver is your only option. LinkedIn is the next best place to start searching for someone to do your homework. Choose the experts who has plenty of connections on LinkedIn to avoid getting scammed.

Teacheron, YouTube, Fiverr, Upwork, Reddit or even Quora are more platforms which might not be as good as LinkedIn, but still very useful. I will cover those in separate blog posts.
